Worldview- Silk Thread Art from Ghana

Over the weekend I went to an art expo in my hometown, Philadelphia. I made sure to go to every table, hear every story, and support the artists I most believed in. The table that stood far above the rest was hosted by African World Imports and Tours. They feature Silk Thread Art, which is an embroidery-like artwork from the Ashanti people of Ghana. The actual process of creating this work is with a leather canvas and silk thread. They thread pieces of silk to create images, and they don't leave any space on the canvas blank. It was an interest process and one that I really fell in love with. Check out more of their work at africanworldimports.com and let me know what you think.
